We’re going to change all that. With your help.
Two Inspiring and Fun Filled Days.
Event dates: March 27-29, 2009
Los Angeles, California
One of the most important influences in a girls life is her mother. Whether you are a step-mom, an aunt, a grandmother, a big sister or a loving friend, the role of a “mother“ is important and essential in a girls development.
In order to give your daughter the strength and courage she needs to feel empowered, you also need to be an example of an empowered woman. The Mother Daughter Empowerment Summit has been created to connect you and your daughter, and to develop foundations and strengthen relationships as your daughter grows. Adolescence is a challenging time for girls. They are questioning everything around them, inc luding who they really are. Moms, your daughters need you more than ever. Attend the Mother Daughter Empowerment Summit to empower yourself, but also your daughter. You will be glad you did. ![]() ![]()
The Mother Daughter Empowerment Summit nonprofit partners include Kiwanis International, and The Girls Scouts of America. The founders are donating proceeds from the ticket sales and corporate sponsorships to these organizations.
Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scouts' membership has grown from 18 members in Savannah, Georgia, to 3.7 million members throughout the United States, including U.S. territories, and in more than 90 countries through USA Girl Scouts Overseas.
Kiwanis International Foundation assists Kiwanis International in serving the children of the world through grants, awards, and scholarships. Kiwanis is a worldwide organization of service-and community-minded individuals who support children and young adults through over 8,600 clubs in 94 countries. Kiwanis sponsored 147,000 service projects, raised and spent nearly $100 million, and contributed 6.2 million hours of volunteer time last year alone. Christy and Rebecca are current contributors to KIF and are helping design methods for the organization to raise greater funds and awareness for its programs.

Imagine a mother who believes she belongs in the world. A mother who celebrates her own life. Who is glad to be alive.
Imagine a mother who celebrates the birth of her daughters. A mother who believes in the goodness of her daughters.Who nurtures their wisdom. Who cultivates their power. Imagine a mother who celebrates the birth of her sons. A mother who believes in the goodness of her sons. Who nurtures their kindness. Who honors their tears. Imagine a mother who turns toward herself with interest. A mother who acknowledges her own feelings and thoughts. Whose capacity to be available to her family deepens as she is available to herself. Imagine a mother who lives in harmony with her heart. A mother who trusts her impulses to expand and contract. Who knows that everything changes in the fullness of time. Imagine a mother who embodies her spirituality. A mother who honors her body as the sacred temple of the spirit of life. Who breathes deeply as a prayer of gratitude for life itself. Imagine a mother who values the women in her life. A mother who finds comfort in the company of women. Who sets aside time to replenish her woman-spirit. Imagine yourself as this mother.
